【IC CARD WORLD】e-SMART、非接触電力伝送の指紋認証型ICカードを出展米e-SMART Technologiesは、IC CARD WORLD 2009（3月3日～6日開催）において、凸版印刷の展示ブースにて、指紋認証型RF無線ICカード「The Super Smart/AM Technology OPT Card」を出展した。電波は接触用にISO7816規格、非接触用にISO/IEC 14443 A or B規格を採用。バイオメトリクスセンサと40MHz動作の32ビットCPUによって、8DigitフレキシブルLCDにかざした指紋を0.7秒で計算・認証できる。その際に必要な3.3V/40mA/100mWの電力を認証機器から非接触電力伝送で受け取り、内蔵バッテリーに溜めて動作するという。PCのログオン機能向けでは、パスワードを忘れてもログオンできるメリットがある。同製品は韓国Samsung Electronicsの子会社Samsung S1に生産委託し、昨年後半から量産を開始。現在は外部のバイオメトリクスセンサを搭載しているが、4月には耐水性のある自社開発のセンサを搭載する予定。これにより、現在50ドルの価格を夏までに20ドルまで下げられる模様。日本でのファンドリー先も選定中で、春以降月産100万個ベースの量産を開始する見通しという。(池田敦)

The cash bill is the most dried condition for fingerprint sensor and it has been the most difficult problem to solve.
However this new flexible sensor can read the prints on the bill.
It means the new flexible sensor can read any fingerprints regardless the humidity condition whether it is wet or dry.
Matthew Jung is checking his own fingerprint.

As seen on the video, the sensor is fully flexible.
